Dr Noel Maturlu

Dr. Noel Maturlu is a passionate scholar of Positive Psychology and human flourishing, exploring these themes through the lens of Agapology (the study of divine love) and Spirituality (a personal and secure relationship with God). His interdisciplinary research focuses on the fundamental role of adversity in the relationship between spirituality, agape (divine love), and flourishing (bliss).
As the founder and Chief Editor of the LaB, Dr. Maturlu is dedicated to helping individuals unlock their potential and lead meaningful, purpose-driven lives. His work bridges psychology, theology, and leadership development to provide transformative insights that foster well-being and resilience.
Dr. Maturlu holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MSc in Psychology, an MSc in Health Research, a Master’s in Systematic Theology, and a Doctorate in Business Administration. Currently pursuing a PhD in Positive Psychology, he serves as a university lecturer in Psychology, Health Sciences, and Business in the UK.
With decades of experience as a Christian minister, educator, and researcher, Dr. Maturlu has championed initiatives that empower disadvantaged communities through education, leadership development, and spiritual growth. His mission is to inspire and equip a new generation of leaders from Afro-descendant and marginalised communities worldwide, providing them with the tools to embrace and embody bliss in their lives. Through this empowerment, he seeks to spark a ripple effect of transformation that extends across generations.
